The Children Ministry

MISSIONETTE DEPARTMENT
Missionette Coordinator: Keri Ball
Sunday, 6:00 pm, Main Building
Missionettes is a weekly girls club, designed to introduce girls to Jesus
Christ and to train them to follow Him. It is a place for girls in the
church to invite their friends to meet Jesus, gather with other girls who
love God, and be mentored by a sponsor who cares about them.
The program consists of six different clubs:
Rainbows (preschool boys and
girls)
Daisies (kindergarten girls)
Prims (first and second grade
girls)
Stars (third through fifth grade girls)
Friends (sixth through eighth
grade girls), and
Girls Only (ninth through twelfth grade girls).
We make every
effort to provide the various clubs, depending on the age of those
attending.
Each week a lesson is taught, and then various activities are included. Some of the weekly activities might include arts and crafts projects,
snacks, cooking, scavenger hunt, ice skating, roller skating, etc. They
are
currently working on a cookbook, which will be available for purchase
through the church office.
Once a year the girls and their sponsors attend the state-wide Missionette
Crowning, in OKC, where those who have completed all steps, receive
recognition. They also participate in the Big Sleepover in September, with
girls from all over the state.
Missionettes Girls Clubs Fivefold Purpose
1. To win girls to Jesus Christ through love and acceptance
2. To teach them to obey everything Jesus commanded us - developing girls
spiritually and mentally
3. To provide encouragement, support, and accountability through lasting
Christian relationships
4. To provide an environment for girls to develop their gifts and
abilities
5. To acquaint them with the Great Commission of Jesus Christ our Lord, to
tell others about Jesus.

ROYAL RANGERS DEPARTMENT
Royal Ranger Commander: Robert Ball
Sunday, 6:00 pm, Family Life Center & Gym
Royal Rangers is an indoor and outdoor program for guys 5-17 years old. They meet weekly and are organized into groups by grade.
Ranger Kids (K-2)
Discovery Rangers (grades 3-5)
Adventure Rangers (6-8)
Expedition Rangers (9-12)
They are led by Godly, devoted leaders who will take them on outings,
teach
them new skills, and show them how to have a personal relationship with
Jesus Christ, God's only Son. Their weekly sessions include a life lesson
from the Bible, and learning various skills in order to earn merits. Among
the dozens of skills they will learn, are: Firecraft, first aid skills,
rope
craft, weather, family life, rocketry, models and designs, citizenship,
hiking, traffic safety, public speaking, missions, etc.
We seek to help our boys and young men grow in four areas:
1. Physically: Their bodies will grow strong through proper exercise and
diet.
2. Spiritually: Their spirits will grow strong through prayer, Bible
study and witnessing.
3. Mentally: Their minds will grow strong by reading, studying, and
memorizing Scripture passages.
4. Socially: Their relationships with people will grow strong by
learning how to treat them.

"KING'S CASTLE" CHILDREN'S CHURCH
Directors: Beverly and Charles Gossman
Sunday, 11:00 am, Main Building
Our kids enjoy exciting Bible stories, songs, arts and crafts, and
activities each week. A special treat they enjoy is to go "shopping" in
our
"store" every 6-8 weeks with points they have accumulated by memorizing
Bible verses, church attendance, bringing their Bible to church, etc. Various yearly activities include an Easter Egg Hunt, and Christmas
shopping
for parents and family in our "Christmas store." They also learn songs,
human videos and puppet stories to share with the congregation. Each week
they are sent home with a "goody bag" containing items that might include
candy, toys, stickers, and always (and most importantly), a Bible verse to
memorize.
Learning can and should be FUN!!

SUNDAY SCHOOL
Sunday, 9:30 am
Your child will find brightly decorated classrooms, and teachers who care
about children. They'll enjoy a Bible lesson, followed by an activity to
correspond with the lesson. Time is given in class for their questions, as
well as social interaction with the other children present. This provides
the opportunity for beginning many life-long friendships in your child's
life. It will also provide the positive peer pressure for them when they
hit the "turbulent teens."
TRANSPORTATION IS AVAILABLE FOR CHILDREN, YOUTH AND ADULTS, ON SUNDAYS AND
WEDNESDAYS. CALL (405) 262-2103 FOR INFORMATION. |
