Our Vision for El Reno and Canadian County Oklahoma
We are a multi-ethnic congregation,
with a mosaic of people worshipping God from different walks of life.
You'll find a blended congregation who meet each week at
First Assembly: Seniors
worship next to children, singles are included with the families
present, the older ones blend their wisdom with the enthusiasm of the
youth. We believe that the Lord is pleased with the variety of ages,
color, and background of those who have made First
Assembly their church home.
Our congregation is loving, inclusive, and Christ-centered.
Life-changing relationships are developed as we honor the Lord who
made us different, and designed us to uniquely fit together in
his church family. It's an amazing experience! We are committed
to pursuing the presence of God passionately, through our corporate
worship and individual devotion. It's exciting to worship at
First Assembly!
We envision the ministries at
First Assembly continuing
to grow, to become a Regional Christian Worship Center. As our
vision becomes reality, as the Lord leads and in his timing, we
will relocate and build new facilities to present a full range of
ministry opportunities to this community. We invite you to come share
the vision!

Beverly Moss
BEVERLY’S MINISTRY
Bev was born Sept.
8, 1954, in Roswell, New Mexico, to missionaries
Paul and Dreta Hutsell. She grew up in Paraguay, South America
and speaks Spanish fluently. Bev attended Asuncion Christian Academy in
Paraguay; Roswell High School in Roswell, NM; and Southwestern
Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, TX.
She is an accomplished pianist and songwriter, having written over 300
songs, with a number of them having been recorded by various
artists. Although trained to play in a "classical" style, she has
expanded her style to include Latin (of course!), Floyd Cramer country,
Southern Gospel, Black Gospel, contemporary, and other styles as well.
Some of Bev’s present or former areas of ministry include: local and
sectional Women’s Ministries Director, visitation, pastor’s executive
secretary, interim youth minister, music director, and pianist for
worship services. Bev works closely with Pastor Mike in music ministry.
God has given them a special gift of working together to lead the
congregation in heartfelt worship to the Father. They seek to include
everyone, by singing the old hymns of the church as well as new worship
choruses during worship times.
Bev is gifted in organization skills, has a strong teaching ministry,
and has ministered to the congregation on National W.M. Day. She has
spoken at the New Mexico Y’s Retreat (High School and College girls),
and has also spoken and given concerts at sectional W.M. Retreats in New
Mexico and Texas. She teaches a new members class two or three times a
year, that prepares newcomers for church membership. She enjoys leading
in worship for sectional Women’s Ministries events, and periodically
leads worship for the congregation.
Bev
is currently employed as a substitute teacher, piano lab teacher
in an after-school program, private piano teacher, as well as a
Spanish interpreter and tutor.
Although her life is full of activities and responsibilities she
thoroughly enjoys, her greatest joy comes from being a wife, mother, and
“grammy.”
